There is a sign in downtown Phoenix, just across the street from City Hall showing all of Phoenix's "sister city" affiliations. They are:
- Himeji, Japan
- Taipei, Taiwan
- Chengdu, China
- Ennis, Ireland
- Grenoble, France
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Calgary, Canada
- Catania, Italy
- Ramat-Gan, Isreal
The only one I've visited is Calgary. My friend David was lucky to get to go on a city trip to Prague about 10 years ago. He enjoyed that very much.
I need to do some travelling.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea if we have that.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great places to go but a long time to get there.
ReplyDeleteLots of places left to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have also been to Prague and Calgary. Is there a benefit to being sister cities, aside from being able to simply claim that status?
ReplyDeleteSo many siblings. That could make a nice world tour, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteTraveling is fun. That would be an interesting project to visit all those places.
ReplyDeleteStrange that there is no sister city in Mexico. I believe Prescott has two down there.
ReplyDeleteWow so many cities included here. Because they all shared some sorts of agreements?
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how they do this.
ReplyDeleteEver is good in holidays to travel and to visit new places. To go to other cities, or other countries is good for mind and Spirit. I like to travel a lot.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice and joyfull summer, with LOVE.
Nice to see each name accompanies it's flag.
