I think most people will think of sticky as something like humidity in the air or honey or syrup on the table. I'm taking a different approach since I live in a part of the country with very dry air but lots of "sticky" plants. Not sticky with sap but sticky with thorns. As the photo above shows, they can create quite a hazard.
Even plants with no thorns are still dangerous with their very sharp and pointed edges.
Some might think it would be a good idea to provide a warning label.

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today. Prince Albert gets a lot adulation.
Yes a warning sign for sure. I know from personal experience thorns can be very painful.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice sticky photo!
ReplyDeleteAh, where would we be without warning labels? I imagine humans would be extinct by now. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat hurts just to look at it. Reminds me when I got stuck by a cholla (jumping) cactus. I still don't know how it got me....I think they really do jump.
ReplyDeleteGood interpretation.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I have never been stuck by a cactus spine. There are a couple of varieties that thrive in Florida.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great choice for the theme, Sharon! I didn't do the theme for the 1st time in years as I could not think of what to do that wasn't glue or something and I have a lot going on in life right now and just couldn't come up with anything. Good one!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of funny someone put a label on that cactus. If I looked at that I think I'd be able to infer that the spines are sharp!
ReplyDeleteOUCH!!!

Definitely sticky. I love that first photo!
ReplyDeleteYou just know that somewhere, someone is thinking, "why can't I touch it?"
ReplyDeleteWell that was an easy theme for you! Really like that first shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully rendered!
ReplyDeletegood point. :)
ReplyDeleteI especially the lighting in your photo,
Oh my gosh you can't get stickier than this Sharon, brilliant for the theme ✨
