After leaving my parent's home that I mentioned in yesterdays post, I moved into an apartment in central Phoenix with a friend I met at work. We shared this two bedroom apartment for two years. This was actually my very first apartment and I enjoyed it very much. It had a few quirks but for the most part, it was a great place to live.
These apartments are unusual because you can't see them from the street. There is a row of apartments that run behind a home. What looks like the driveway for the home is actually a driveway that runs along this apartment block. I don't remember how many apartment there were but I'm guessing around six. I also can't remember how we even found this place. It was a long time ago.
I am now once again living in central Phoenix and actually not far from where these old apartments are located. I took these photos about a year apart when I walked by the place. It was good to see they are still there.
Not so attractive with those bars in the windows, and no nice roofs....
ReplyDeleteThe next time I am in Orlando I should look for my first apartment.
ReplyDeleteMy first place is still there, but I have no reason to stop by.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they are homes rather than apartments, Sharon. A bit nicer than in most high rises.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to retrace your steps, isn't it? You're probably glad you don't still live there, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI've not been past the fist place I bought for a long time even though it is a short distance away
ReplyDeleteA trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteGood memories...
ReplyDeleteYou're having a lovely walk down memory lane Sharon 💜 I think our first place after moving out of home always holds special memories ✨
