My First Arizona Apartment

After leaving my parent's home that I mentioned in yesterdays post, I moved into an apartment in central Phoenix with a friend I met at work.  We shared this two bedroom apartment for two years.  This was actually my very first apartment and I enjoyed it very much.  It had a few quirks but for the most part, it was a great place to live.

These apartments are unusual because you can't see them from the street.  There is a row of apartments that run behind a home.  What looks like the driveway for the home is actually a driveway that runs along this apartment block.  I don't remember how many apartment there were but I'm guessing around six.  I also can't remember how we even found this place.  It was a long time ago.

I am now once again living in central Phoenix and actually not far from where these old apartments are located. I took these photos about a year apart when I walked by the place.  It was good to see they are still there.

  1. Not so attractive with those bars in the windows, and no nice roofs....

  3. My first place is still there, but I have no reason to stop by.

  4. They look like they are homes rather than apartments, Sharon. A bit nicer than in most high rises.

  5. It's fun to retrace your steps, isn't it? You're probably glad you don't still live there, though. :)
