You might remember that about a month ago I introduced the first of a three part art exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden. The first presentation was called "Wind".
The second part of the exhibit is now up at the garden and this one is called "Water". Once again, the artists are Natasha Lisitsa and Daniel Schultz.
The Water piece uses a bright yellow wooden lattice that follows the contours of a natural wash that fills with water only when it rains. Along the edges of the 'stream' are colorful plants that take sustenance from the water.
In the desert, we don't see many streams that have water in them all of the time so we aren't used to seeing the variety of plants the artists have used. Tomorrow I'll show you some closer shots of the plants that are being used for this exhibit.
Not bad for the desert.

ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful display. It all works together so well.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the straw is for keeping the moisture in? I do that with grass clippings here, works well.
ReplyDeleteI know I say it all the time but thank heavens for the creativity of the artist's mind. This looks amazing Sharon and beautifully shown here 💛
