Bird's Eye View

This is a mural that has been up on the side of a hotel building in downtown Phoenix for a very long time.  In fact, I'm so used to seeing it that I forget it's there.  The signature on it says "Soldier Leisure Productions" but I happen to know the artist's name is Andy Brown.  He has many murals all over the valley.  Many of them are painted from this 'up-above' point a view but he also has quite a few that have faces and some with geometric patterns.  Along with the art work, he also owns a street clothing company that goes by the name Soldier Leisure or sometimes Sleisure.  He's a pretty talented fellow!

Taking part in Monday Murals.

  2. Andy Brown was thinking outside of the box when he painted this mural.

  3. Should be a good city for bikes, when it isn't 110 degrees

  7. In keeping with yesterday's theme, you might say this is a "birds-eye" view. :-)

  8. What a fun perspective!
Thanks for the background on the artist - it must be delightful to be able to
recognise his work when you encounter it around town as it's so distinctive.

  12. "Up above" often a greater view than down on the ground ;-)
