I had to take my car to the mechanic Monday afternoon and I had been dreading it all weekend because the place has a very tiny waiting room and with the surge in covid, I hate being inside public places. So I decided that I'd wait outside and just take a walk down the street.
I snapped a couple of iPhone photos on the way.
I found this questionable looking Ethiopian restaurant. It was located on one end of a rather shabby looking strip center but there were actually three other tiny restaurants and a palm reader in the same center. They seemed to be surviving the effects of the pandemic.
Next door to the repair shop is a tire shop. They had these old tires out front as decoration.
Not much to show for my walk down the street but it was still better than waiting inside.

Yes I have the same feeling, avoiding crowds all the time. The photo through the wheel is very well done!
Smart move to stay outside. Outwit and outsmart Covid-19.
PS: Nice framing with the tire.
Always nice to take a stroll, you never know what you might find.
Absolutely -- given the opportunity to take a walk over sitting in a waiting room, I'd always choose the walk! I love Ethiopian food.
My mechanic was having no one in their waiting room for the first wave but now lets people wait for a short time.
Good street shots.
Very smart move Sharon, I would have done the same thing. I like your through the tire shot, very nice indeed!
As it happens, I need to take my car in for servicing, too. Not sure what I'll do as there are no "palm readers" nearby. :-)
It was still worth it!
: )
yes I"m the same with being in enclosed spaces, I still even keep a good distance away from others.
Very arty second photo Sharon.
It can happen
