Here are a few more photos of the decorations at the Desert Botanical Garden. These flowers are in the fountain at the entrance to the garden.
These pillars are located all over the garden. They are topped with a variety of holiday plants.
And of course, there are poinsettias every where you look.
There is also a tall Christmas tree. It is located where they always put the tree. I photographed it framed by nearby cactus.
Have you ever seen the wild variety of poinsettia, from Mexico? It's a modest little thing, nothing like these hybridized giants. They ARE pretty!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the Poinsettia is native to the desert southwest, looks at home there.
ReplyDeleteI would love to walk through there!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly gives a holiday feeling!
ReplyDeleteJeepers! These are the first poinsettias I've seen this season. Usually I see them by the score.
ReplyDeleteThe poinsettias are beautiful.
ReplyDeletePoinsettas are a cheerful sight.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful plants. My work is selling them and they are very popular, weird cos it's Summer here.
ReplyDeletePoinsettia are so Christmas-y.
ReplyDeleteI have only been walking around my neighbourhood. Now I feel like driving through the city to see what has been done this year...
ReplyDeleteIt's nice seeing all the holiday decorations. I don't get to see it here, and I really miss it.
