Two years ago I posted a picture of the mural that is on the side of this building. It had an Asian flare to it to match the Asian inspired shaved ice business inside. When I was downtown recently I noticed that another mural was been added to the front of the building along with the addition of those strange round planters. I can't decide if that owl would scare me off or welcome me in.

You could look at this picture once a day and decide after a while to go back to this place... ;-)
I like the owl. The lines, color palette, and shapes of the overall effect with the planters, the roofline, the bricks, the wood siding, and pattern on the owl's body and the area to the left of the owl - it all works together esthetically.Quite pleasing to the eye. The only distracting thing for me is the spelling of "Snoh!" LOL.
It looks pretty gloomy...
Owls are interesting birds. My grandfather had a stuffed one.
It would look better if those planters had some plants in them. When I saw "shavery" I thought it was a barber shop!
The artist did a good job of making the owl look scary... Boo!
I like the owl and the way the artist used those shapes.
Those planters would probably look better with some greenery in them.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
Those are piercing eyes!
He's a gorgeous owl Sharon he's just spotted a possible snack 😊 Loved the sound of the restaurant you described this morning in NY.. Pat likes the sound of it also, would be a good place for a meet up 💛
I love the eyes of the owl. At first I thought those planters were stacks of plates.
They ought to rename the place "The Angry Owl".
I think I prefer the owl to the dragon-lion. I know it has a less scary look than the other side, although both are rather unique to say the least.
A formidable sight.
The decor is becoming somewhat alarming.
oooh ice, that sounds good, it's way too hot here.
