Christmas in the Garden

I went to the Desert Botanical Garden Thursday evening for their annual Los Noches de Las Luminarias Event.  It goes on every night in December with the garden trails all lined with the traditional luminaries and a few food and beverage stations scattered around the garden.

Even though reservations were required and timed, there still seemed like quite a lot of people there.  Not as many as in years past but still enough that I decided not to have any food or drinks because I just didn't want to remove my mask.  I just walked around the different trails and enjoyed the lights.

In one spot they had this little photo scene set up for people who wanted to pose for a photo.

Up in the area where they usually have entertainers, they had these three brilliant poinsettia trees.  People were posing with these too.  I just admired how bright they looked with the spotlights shining on them.

I have a few more photos to share.

What a lovely tour you went on. Things always look different in the night lighting.

I love garden tours, I made it to the entrance at closing time the last time I was in Phoenix, next trip I need to plan better.

So beautiful, Sharon! It is so weird the way we view groups of people now. Will we ever relax again?

Luminaria are always so beautiful.

Lumenaria really are a treat, and oe that's pretty rare around here because of how much wind and rain we get in December.

Luminaria are so very pretty. My wife's parents used to have them up along their driveway.

It looks pretty. I like that first photo with the luminaria. When I lived in a heritage neighborhood in Columbus, they had a Village Lights evening when all neighbors and merchants lit the sidewalks with luminaria. It was dreamy, like your shot.
