I did a search for some desert wildflowers last weekend and I didn't have to go far to find some. They were blooming along roadways.....
....and on desert slopes. Above are some arroyo lupine and up top, some yellow brittle bush blooms.
Here is a big cluster of globe mallow displaying those pretty orange blooms.

I love it when we have enough rain to bring out these beauties.
There is a lot blooming there, nice to see.
ReplyDeleteThey are really beauties as you say.

So pretty! I hear the wildflowers in California are putting on such a show that there are traffic jams in places.
ReplyDeleteOh absolutely! It doesn't take much rain to transform the landscape. Wildflowers are a sight for sore eyes after the cold of winter .
ReplyDeleteDesert beauty is always a pleasure to see. Thanks, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteOK, I got my picture back on my blog. Not sure why it went away.
ReplyDeleteI love wildflowers, they are always simple and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these wonderful photos.

Wow! Beautiful blooms! I'm surprised you have lupines there. I wouldn't have thought they'd like such a dry environment. (Considering they also grow in England!)
