The little oasis next door to St. Mary's Basilica in downtown Phoenix is still there and still provides some shade from our searing summer sun. However, it was looking much lusher
10 years ago. I think that can be attributed to our drought. It's been terribly dry around here for the past two years.
We mostly have no lack of rains here, but it hasn't rained since May anymore, which is becoming rather a problem now.
ReplyDeleteTwo years we have had one for the past six weeks and every one is complaining, I just hate the heat and wish it would rain
ReplyDeleteWe could use a nice soft rain here that would soak into the ground and water the flowers nicely. You scene still looks cool, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteStill looks like a really lovely spot Sharon ✨
ReplyDeleteWell, the grass is gone but the trees still look nice and shady!
ReplyDeleteGood perspective!
ReplyDeleteWe're finally getting some rain after quite dry conditions the last couple of months.
Big difference from the first picture. Glad it's still there though.
ReplyDeleteStill looking great with all the shady trees but no grass. That's impressive for ten years, not much change at all.
ReplyDeleteIt did look lusher ten years ago, but it might also be that the trees have been better pruned in recent years.
