Out of Business

This broken window with the drink cup inside caught my eye.

I took two shots, one close and one further away and I'm not sure which I like best.

I spotted the broken window on the side of the Paris Laundry and Dry Cleaners which has gone out of business.

When I lived on the other side of town, I would pass this place and it's sort of mid-century modern exterior quite often.  Even though I didn't do business here, I was sort of sad to see it go.

  1. It is always sad to see businesses close, it's always a sign of passing time and or of something gone wrong.

  2. I understand, it is not pleasant to see buildings not used anymore and neglected.

  5. I know what you mean. There are a few businesses sitting empty around here too. And yet, more new ones being built.

  6. Do you have any wider shots of the exterior? It looks like a great old sign and a cool building.

  7. That is sad. Wonderful shots though. Maybe the building will be reused for a new business.

  8. It is always sad when we see a business closing for whatever reason.
The pictures, however, came out really good.

  12. It's always sad to see a business die. Unless it's the wrong kind of business. You know what I mean. The trouble here is that the store was in the wrong country. It's explicit that it belongs in France. I mean, really, "Paris Laundry and Dry Cleaners"?

  13. Unfortunately it seems to be a common occurrence everywhere. We had a couple of businesses close but also two new ones open.

  15. Great name for the shop but often great misfortune to "go out of business."
