I had lunch at the Heard Museum last Sunday so while I was there I visited my favorite little garden spot with the red wall.
The sculpture is by Allan Houser and it's called People of the Rio Grande. It's described as paying tribute to the Pueblo People who are presented as mysterious and ethereal.
It looks pretty good with that red background.
The sculptor is immediately recognisable; he is a genius. Love the simplicity of the piece against the strong red background. Super photo.
ReplyDeleteSimple and effective.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this a lot. Woman and child. The essence of every culture. Pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteEnigmatic, and it does stand out so well against the red.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI like how strikingly simple and yet powerful this is!
ReplyDeleteSleek and striking. Nice with the red too.
ReplyDeleteSimplicity at its best. I love it with the red background.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite sculptors!
ReplyDeleteI love this picture! It really shows the streamlined beauty of the sculpture.
