The acacia trees are blooming right now and sending their sweet aroma all over. I know that some people don't like the smell of acacia blooms and some are even allergic to them but, I love the scent.
It's a good thing because I'm seeing (and smelling) them everywhere I go.

ReplyDeleteLois Anne was first pregnant when we lived in Scottsdale. The scent of orange blossoms made her nauseous. It was not a happy time for we were inundated with the scent of orange blossoms. I don't think acacia blossoms bothered her at all.

ReplyDeleteI'm with you Sharon, I love that sweet smell of spring, I used to have an acacia tree in my garden and it was a delight to walk out in the morning. I think it must have got too big! I'm really enjoying your floral images!
ReplyDeleteAha! So that IS similar to the yellow trees I've seen here. I see what you mean! I think ours are a bit different, though -- maybe a slightly different species.

ReplyDeleteAcacia were very common in southern Africa, and I visited at many different times of the year, but I never saw an acacia in bloom. Fascinating!
