I took a walk at the Japanese Friendship Garden this last weekend. I hadn't been there in a long time. I thought I'd see if anything was blooming yet. All I saw was one single daffodil.
There was one little grape hyacinth plant outside the office door, so that and the daffodil were the only things showing any color.
Well, except for a few mallards. They were sporting their famous shiny green.
It's a start.

We have about a billion grape hyacinth plants, but no flowers yet. Ours are holding out for March. :)

ReplyDeleteHi again. To answer your question about the Silver Springs entrance: Yes, the entrance has changed very little over the years. We first visited there in 1988 and it's basically the same but you would not recognize much of the park which has changed considerably. It's a shame and I think the state should have kept the boat tours, the petting zoo, the animal kingdom, etc., but all that is gone now. It's still a nice place to walk around but it ain't the same!
