Last weekend was the annual pumpkin festival at the Desert Botanical Garden and I missed it. I had way too many things going on over the weekend and I just didn't have time for a visit. However, I did go late Monday afternoon for a walk and I saw this pumpkin sitting at the welcome center. It's starting to get a bit dried out but you can still see that great big grin!
Looks like it's had a bit too much sun, but the smile is still quite clear!
ReplyDeleteQuite original that's what we like.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the talent to do a carving like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a strange method of pumpkin-carving! I've never seen one where the carving was all in the pith, with no skin left.
ReplyDeleteSomeone had fun !
ReplyDeleteI think this makes a great Halloween face! I NEVER was able to carve a pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what it looked like when lit up, Sharon?
ReplyDeleteQuite garish, which perfectly fits this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI agree with William!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how to carve a pumpkin or even a turnip! This one's great!
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to the old fashioned way of carving?
ReplyDeleteThough this technique does look neat when the candle is inside.
Doesn't look too scary to me; just creative.
ReplyDeleteIn New England, carved pumpkins are everywhere, but not down here in Florida. Sometimes I think that Florida needs a bit more grit and blue collar.
