I found this giant eye on a block wall in the Loma Linda residential neighborhood in central Phoenix. There wasn't any sign to indicate an artist but it was on the wall of a home that faces a different street. Those lashes are actual wires sticking out from the eye's frame which seems just a bit dangerous to me.
Here's a view of the whole wall.
It does look good, from a distance. You're right about the wires though... we have those kind of things on top of lampposts and certain buildings to keep pigeons or gulls off!
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit blood-shot. CBS will be envious.
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat. I really struggle to find anything like that here in Coventry.
ReplyDeleteSome folks have more money than sense. But it is kinda cute. Just don't eyeball the eyeball too closely! :)
ReplyDeleteGood way to brighten up a plain wall. I like it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are telling you that someone is watching!
ReplyDeleteThat could have worked for curious, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThat really does catch the eye!
ReplyDeleteEye see you... This is cool!
ReplyDeleteHmm. A little creepy to my taste. Wouldn't want to be the adjoining home owner.
ReplyDeleteCool Shot! The lashes are a bit grotesque - but I actually like the distance shot! Maybe it needs a bit of context to soften the impact!!
ReplyDeleteI always like mosiac, makes me think of Gaudi.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
