Red Bench

I found this wonderful red bench at a local nursery.  It would certainly look good in almost any garden.  If I had a garden, I would have been tempted.  I'll have to stick with my patio chairs.

  2. Nice colors! Good eye!

You asked about my portrait -- yes, it will be included in the upcoming exhibit. Very strange! :)

  4. I recently posted benches that belong to my neighbor; one which I love is a brilliant blue: http://visualstpaul.blogspot.com/2015/08/another-bench.html This red bench would be a terrific companion piece to it. I would be very tempted to return in the dead of night and silently steal it away :)

  9. It is a winner, but I suspect it is more for making a visual statement than for providing respite.

  10. It's a beautiful red - almost maroon. And the photo is a super composition with the pinks and greens and blues.

Glad you made it through the storm or avoided the storm. Those sand storms were so terrible!

Re the anhinga: I think it's related to the cormorant and in fact, I'm not sure I could tell the difference even though there are some rather distinctive aspects to each bird. I love to watch the anhingas fish! They'll disappear for five minutes and then pop up a 100 yards away with a smug look on their beak. Or something like that!
