I saw so many gorgeous bouquets of flowers leaving the stores over the weekend that I had to get some for myself. I chose these yellow roses with the burgundy lilies to dress up my dining room table.
Sunday morning when I took my walk at the Desert Botanical Garden, there were still a few cactus showing off with their gorgeous blooms. Cactus bloom are so beautiful that it seems a shame that they can't be taken home with you.
I also spotted a lot of Queen Butterflies out and about. These two have decided to share the taste of this shaggy lavender flower.
That's a very tasteful arrangement you decided on... wonderfully colourful series!
ReplyDeleteWow, that last shot is a real winner. I can't even get one in my shots :)

I love the colours. Well done Sharon.
ReplyDeleteYour dining table must look lovely Sharon, good choice of blooms. You are always so lucky when you visit the botanical gardens, two fab captures.
ReplyDeleteNice series of photos! Cactus flowers look so unlikely to me -- so lush and large, on such a spiny dry plant.
ReplyDeleteAll three shots are wonderful, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteWe call them Monarch butterflies. Interesting the different names. (I had to have chocolate after doing photos for Ted's Post)
ReplyDeleteAll pretty but the one with the butterflies is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteWow! That butterfly photo is gorgeous! Glad you had a flower-filled weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderfully uplifting post Sharon with gorgeous photos! Wish I could smell the roses!
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Flowers are definitely for every day, not just special occasions.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors.
ReplyDeleteSharon, you do a great job with macros. One of these days I need to get in touch with you and learn what settings you use. My close-ups usually have blown out details.
ReplyDeleteFlowers and butterflies--great images.
ReplyDeleteThe last shot with the butterflies stands out !
ReplyDeleteThis one last shot is beautiful!
