That was the warning to Julius Caesar in 44 BC on the day of his assassination. Caesar dismissed the warning and his fate and the fate of Rome was sealed. I thought a mysterious looking blood-red flower was a good way to mark the day.
I have a new post on
Sharon's Sojourns today. A visit to a grand villa is on the agenda.
Well it certainly is red AND mysterious Sharon :) fabulous macro, nice work!

ReplyDeleteA beautiful macro! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteWe're marking it with more 'white'. I prefer the RED.
ReplyDeleteI always think of that line on this day. The lighting makes this picture a moody one.
ReplyDeleteA friend's birthday is today and we always kid her with that line. A lovely flower, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteNow that is RED!
ReplyDeleteNice photo! Probably too pretty for Caesar. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that's today! Lovely choice to mark the occasion.
