Just after Christmas last week, I went to the Desert Botanical Garden for a walk and when I stepped through the entrance I saw this cute little cactus wren near by greeting people as they came in. These birds are so cute and industrious with their building and scavenging for building materials that I just had to stop and take his photo. These are the luxury builders of the avian world. They spend their lives making the perfect nest.
what a lovely looking bird
ReplyDeleteA real beauty!
ReplyDeleteThey are industrious as well as protective of their nests. I had a cat and a dog who learned to steer clear of the Cactus Wrens nests.
ReplyDeleteYou got a nice shot of him too!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a cutie it is, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot of this lovely bird! I understand all about them 'cause I've spent my life ... well, finding rather than making - a perfect next. And I ain't done yet!
ReplyDeleteHe/she poses well, too.
ReplyDelete"I'm ready for my close-up, Sharon."
