Today I have the other two beautiful birds we saw at the Phoenician Resort on Friday. Above is the great horned owl. My what big eyes!
This one is a Peregrine Falcon. Such a regal sounding name for this smallish bird of prey. Don't you just love my title for this post? It sounds like a great title for a children's book or movie.
Quite a pair! or should I say quite a "two pair"!?"
ReplyDeleteHello after WAY too long!! These birds are just magnificent - we also have Peregrine Falcon down here, and I'm always amazed that it's the fastest creature on earth! Hope your weekend was awesome!!
ReplyDeleteGreat title, birds... and images!
ReplyDeleteLove the expression on the owl's face Sharon, it's a bit like 'whatever' :) the peregrin falcon is exactly like the one that terrorizes the birds in my garden. The owl and the falcon.. perfect title for a spy movie :)
ReplyDeleteThat owl is majestic !
ReplyDeleteThat owl is much more intimidating than the plastic one I featured yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThe Peregrine Falcon must be a male because the females are much larger than that. How fun for you to get to see and photograph these majestic birds.
Owls intrigue me.
ReplyDeleteThey are both such beautiful, distinctive birds.
ReplyDeleteTwo of the most beautiful birds in the world! Love these shots.
ReplyDeleteThe owl is very imposing and it is good to see the falcon since they were so endangered at one time.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the owl is gorgeous! The peregrine falcon is a beauty too!
ReplyDeleteI love the handlers outfits.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful birds and so neat to get a close look at them.
ReplyDeleteOwl and Falcon. It could also be a pub.
ReplyDeleteHis eyes are GIANT - and he doesn't look happy. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe bird is not as colorful as its handler.
