Late Wednesday afternoon, I decided it was time for a walk at the Desert Botanical Garden so off I went. I wasn't there 2 minutes when I saw this cute little hummingbird taking advantage of the blooms on a penstemon plant. There is nothing like a good walk and a little Mother Nature to get the blood flowing.
What a magnificent picture, Sharon !
ReplyDeleteSo true! Great pic Sharon :-) Have been there recently, when staying in Scottsdale for a conference. Our timeframe was though, but I loved to see all these wonderful Desert Plants. I love it. when you are posting pictures from there!

Totally agree Sharon.. you're lucky to have the Botanical Gardens nearby to snap these sweet little honey eaters.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a 'superpower' flying might be it.
ReplyDeleteI love this picture! My hummers seem to have all gone south to avoid these unusually cold temps we are having.

ReplyDeleteIt's not easy to get a hummingbird in flight like that - well done! Love the light, too!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! I have never seen such colors: flower and bird's together, it's so moving.

ReplyDeleteSharp image of the bird and its fluttering wings~
Well done, Sharon. I run across hummingbirds occasionally but every time I end up deleting the photos. I can't get them clear enough and interesting enough .
ReplyDeleteGreat hummer shot. Even though our temps are similar this time of year we often do have some below-freezing weather so our hummers are long gone to Mexico. I miss them.
ReplyDeleteI always love your hummingbird shots, Sharon!
