Pizza night
Since I've just moved in to my new place, I don't have a lot to eat on hand right now so last night I went to The Parlor, the pizza place I featured just last month. It's now in my neighborhood so it wasn't that far away. I was by myself so I ate at the the pizza counter (with the great parlor chairs). Eddie, one of the pizza chefs behind the counter stopped several times to talk to me and make sure I was enjoying my pizza and telling me about other pizzas he recommends. Eddie is certainly an asset to this restaurant. I really enjoyed talking to him.
When Eddie was busy making pizzas, I was mesmerized by the fire in the pizza oven. It was kind of like watching a fireplace.
Great portrait of Eddie, hope you enjoyed your pizza?!
ReplyDeleteThrow anything on my bread and I'll try it. Well, except for lamb. Love pizza.
ReplyDeleteGreat portrait of a friendly man! Pizzas certainly have improved over the years! Love the wood fired pizzas.
ReplyDeleteGreat behind the scenes shots.

Nothing like a good Pizza, better than getting a frozen one out of the freezer
ReplyDeleteNice smile. Pizza sounds good even in the morning.
ReplyDeleteNice portrait, Sharon, he looks like a very happy "pizzaiolo", as we say!
ReplyDeleteI think I would like this place a lot, too. It looks clean and cozy and you got a really nice shot of
ReplyDeleteEddie!
It's always nice to have a good pizza place nearby.
ReplyDeleteAnd you got to sit on one of those great chairs!
ReplyDeleteI love a good pizza! What kind did you get and what did Eddie recommend for next time? My favorite is mushroom and spinach.
ReplyDeleteYou literally made me want pizza now. A nice traditional thin Italian one!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good portrait!
ReplyDeleteYou are fortunate to live so close to a favorite restaurant now. I have taken to making my own at home every Friday night.
ReplyDeleteI need to start looking back in your blog to make a list of some of the great restaurants you've featured in the past few months in anticipation of my upcoming visit to Phoenix!
ReplyDeleteA good pizza joint is a wonderful neighborhood asset. West Hartford has numerous good pizza places, but I have not yet found one In Naples that measures up.
ReplyDeleteThe proverbial million dollar smile. And you were watching a fireplace. Bet your meal tasted pretty good.
ReplyDeleteSuch a smile!
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant seems to have everything for coming back.
What a great find and in your neighborhood too!
