Jealousy

I don't think I quite get this sculpture but, maybe it's meant to be interpreted by the viewer.  It's called "Jealousy" by Eduardo Oropeza.  I see the jealousy part, I'm just not sure if that's a guy with his wife and girlfriend, his two girlfriends, or his teenage daughters.  Regardless, I don't get a warm feeling about it so I'm not going to think about it any longer.  I found it on the grounds of the Phoenician Resort.

  1. I agree with you, it's really open to interpretation!

  2. It definitely isn't warm and cuddly! I'd say the players are whoever you want them to be.

  3. I find it cool, but what I most like here is the setting!

  5. Closing the site and then reopening your post worked for me. The texture of the sculpure does not invite warm and cozy feelings.

  10. There is a lot going on in this. The one in the middle seems to be a peace maker to me.

  11. It is interesting to look at, but confusing at the same time!

  13. Rather an odd piece. But I think it's good if art makes you think, even if it's about something you don't like!

  15. I actually kinda like it, although it is not a warm and fuzzy piece of art. There is a tremendous amount of body language coming forth from it.
