I spotted a group of my favorite birds at the Desert Botanical Garden recently. They were eating the seeds from the dried-out chocolate daisies. These peach-faced lovebirds that have recently shown up in large wild groups throughout the valley are so entertaining to watch. They make me smile every time I encounter them.
Yes you said it: entertaining! So fun to look at.
ReplyDeleteWow - amazing colors! Nature is truly remarkable.
ReplyDeleteA very clear and lovely close-up, Sharon. Oh, how I wish these beautiful creature were able to roam free here in MN!

ReplyDeleteI think I told you that we had them at home when I was a kid. They are really intelligent creatures and real devils when they were flying around the house - they loved to chew curtains and strip wallpaper. They also loved classical music - they would be transfixed listening! I loved them.
ReplyDeleteThey are beauties.
ReplyDeleteGreat close up.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Amazing focus and lighting. You even caught a glint of light in the bird's eye.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are different from anything we have in the northeast!
ReplyDeleteOh my, they're sooooo pretty Sharon, the colours are more pastel, I can see why they're called love-birds!
