Urban Desert

I found this very tall totem pole cactus growing along the street in downtown Phoenix,  It's a tall one but, it's dwarfed by the tall buildings all around it.  All that glass makes and interesting backdrop for a desert plant.

  1. I'll say it does Sharon! What a contrast, would this be a cactus that has spectacular flowers in the right season?

  3. I have never seen that kind of cactus before. It almost doesn't look real.

  9. I agree with Judy. At first I thought it was a cactus sculpture.
