Urban Desert
I found this very tall totem pole cactus growing along the street in downtown Phoenix, It's a tall one but, it's dwarfed by the tall buildings all around it. All that glass makes and interesting backdrop for a desert plant.
Very nice contraposition of elements! I'm not sure I remember ever seeing a totem pole cactus. Looks like its made out of paper mac-hie. Love the photo!
I'll say it does Sharon! What a contrast, would this be a cactus that has spectacular flowers in the right season?
ReplyDeleteI can see that it's very tall. Looks great.

I have never seen that kind of cactus before. It almost doesn't look real.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really unusual to me, Sharon! Cool capture.

ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is the cacti that blooms at night? And then I wonder if it is does any one see it? I have one on my patio and they are really nice.
ReplyDeleteIt really contrasts well with the glass.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Judy. At first I thought it was a cactus sculpture.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful contrast!
ReplyDeleteThis is real? I thought it was a sculpture.
