Driving around in a central Phoenix neighborhood I spotted this unique mailbox and had to catch a photo of it. It makes me wonder if the people living here are retired farmers.
I was really surprised when I rounded the corner and found another unique mailbox. This one promotes reading which is always a good thing. I'd say this one is a sculpture as well as a mailbox.
They both look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThe 1st is surely a retired farmer and the 2nd is a (retired) teacher, I suppose...
ReplyDeleteI like the 2nd very much, even the dog is willing to read...
This would make a great series for a small pocket sized book
ReplyDeleteThat second one is terrific. I wonder if they have to worry about vandalism? When we had a freestanding streetside mailbox kids used to smash it with a baseball bat every year or so and we'd have to get a new one.
ReplyDeleteNumber two is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteLike both of them but the boy reading is very unique and charming. Must lighten the mail person's spirit every day.
ReplyDeleteThey are really cool, no wonder you took photos of them
ReplyDeleteArt's everywhere. Even in the mail. Great sculpture.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mo.
ReplyDeleteBoth are unique in their own way. I love the second one.
ReplyDeleteThe tractor mailbox looks like it belongs here in my neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteThey're both neat!
ReplyDeleteThese are really neat. Of course my favorite would be. With the dog.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything like that 2nd one. Fabulous, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThey are both quite wonderful each in its own way but my fave is #1. And I think the folks who live there formerly owned a horse ranch in northern Arizona but retired and moved south.
ReplyDeleteLove the second one.
ReplyDeleteI'd say there must be a librarian in the second house. It's always fun to find mailboxes like these!
ReplyDeleteCould be farmers for sure Sharon.. the second mailbox is an absolute delight, wouldn't mind that one myself :)
