I found this house with a totally southwestern desert style so I decided to take a photo of its attractive entrance. But wait, what is that little flash of pink way off to the left? What can that be?
So, I zoomed in to find a pink flamingo living among the cactus in the cactus garden. Those pink flamingos pop up in the most unexpected places.
I have a new post on
Sharon's Sojourns today. Some might call it about whimsical art.
Adds a real dash of vivid colour!
ReplyDeleteThe touch of pink color is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteFunny! Dave told me the other day that there are more plastic flamingoes in the world than real flamingoes -- which isn't entirely surprising, but still a little worrisome!
ReplyDeleteLovely landscape and the flamingo is a pleasant surprise. A little incongruous but amusing as it is probably meant to be.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the people in that house moved to Arizona from Miami.
ReplyDeleteGood luck finding some water around there.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they dress it up on holidays like the ones in Jerome.
ReplyDeleteI always get a kick out of seeing one of those flamingoes!
ReplyDeleteStrange place for a pink flamingo ornament!
ReplyDeletehmmm, a flamingo in the desert. Interesting thought.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a garden without one.
ReplyDeleteThe entry way looks like it is hiding a rather interesting place. But, a flamingo? Wouldn't expect that.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised to hear that there are more plastic flamingos than real ones - they are obviously much less particular about their choice of habitat.
ReplyDeleteI think I don't need to tell you why I just love the entrance! :-) But where does this pink plastic flamingos fever come from??? This is so out of place! LOL!
