Red skies at night.....

....sailors's delight!  However, sailors in the desert are few and far between.

But we do get beautiful red skies during the monsoon months.  All those clouds and winds stirring up the desert dust help to tint the skies and fuel some gorgeous sunsets.

This one happened Tuesday night and when I spotted it, I grabbed the camera and ran out the door.  The trees are so beautiful silhouetted against such a colorful sky.

  3. The tree silhouettes enhance the sunset, too.

Information: The sign of the Wordless Wednesday's post on my blog yesterday is placed at the entrance to the Japanese Tea Garden at Como Park in St. Paul. Translated it means "Plum Beautiful Garden."

  6. Wow! Your sky is terrific. We get great skies in Florida, but I rarely see a great sky in Connecticut.

  7. That's stunning, Sharon. Was it a bad air day that created this?
