There is only one week left for the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to get there before the 19th. It will start coming down that day. I think it will be interesting to see them dismantle some of these pieces. I might have to be there for that.
I imagine it will take quite a while, and a lot of delicacy to dismantle them and pack them all away... gorgeous colours!
ReplyDeleteThe colours, forms, and twists are part of the charm and beauty of Chihuly's creations.I decided that DH and I need to go to Seattle for the express purpose of visiting his studio!
ReplyDeleteHopefully no one will be picking up the pieces.
ReplyDeletecool shot! You will have to go so that you can show us how they take it all down.
ReplyDeleteSuch rich colours in this, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot, like the forms, the colours and the blue sky!
ReplyDeleteYes, it will be fun to see what kind of system they have for packing them up!
ReplyDeleteSo sad to see this exhibit go, we have really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteSharon, I left a reply to your comment on my blog, saying that it would be ever so much fun if we could time our visits to Seattle together so we could finally meet!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Denver is it's next stop.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a fabulous close-up. Great photo, Sharon.
