Theme Day: People on the Street

It's the first of March and another theme day has rolled around.  Today's theme is People on the Street.  The minute I heard what the theme was going to be, I knew this was the photo I was going to use.  I live just one block from Phoenix College and I drive by the campus at least once a day.  One morning I spotted this guy walking along and my immediate thought was that I needed to get a shot but, my camera was in my purse so I knew I'd have to slow down or stop to get it.  It was too good to pass up so, I slowed the car down, grabbed the camera out of my back rolled down the window and took two shots.  The entire time I thought I'd get caught but he never turned around.  I guess my car is quieter than I thought it was.

That's the story of how I got the shot.  Now what do you suppose the story is about this guy with his pants hanging below his derriere?  Whatever it is, it's a good thing he had clean underwear on.

  2. He has a very determined gait, no wonder his jeans are falling down ;-)

  3. I have never understood this fashion trend. Fortunately, neither of my sons went through this phase.

Maybe he is studying to become a plumber.

  4. I laughed out loud! Terrific post. And I give you credit for quickness and agility to find you camera and grab this shot without running a tree. It's technically a good photo, too!

  5. Fashions change, but this one remains a total mystery to me. It's a great shot, and he obviously is living in another world since he didn't notice you. Wonder how many chicks he attracts?!

  8. It is such an awful fashion. Imagine what their grandkids will make of it.

  11. Good result for your theme day post! I agree about his underwear. And when I'm out and about in a Zipcar, I often have to pull over and grab my camera for a photo, especially if I'm not already stopped at a traffic signal.

  12. I'm always so tempted to give those low pants a good yank and then run away. They would never catch me!

  13. Well, at least he was sparing us the scene of wearing a thong.

I've never understood that "fashion" trend either.
