Lately, I've been making a habit of going to the Desert Botanical Garden every Thursday in the late afternoon between three and four. I usually spend the first 40 minutes walking as fast as I can while weaving my way around the crowds and then after that I wander around to take photos for a little while. This photo is from last week when we had several days of cloudy weather. I noticed one place I could stand and catch two of the Chihuly sculptures in one photo. The blues of these two complement each other rather well don't you think?
Each one of them is in excellent company on this picture and the color of the sky completes beautifully the scene.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a good eye Sharon.
A great looking combination!
ReplyDeleteI have photographed the Chihuly installation about a half dozen times, but never noticed that angle. well done.
ReplyDeleteI knew a girl once who had tangly hair like that. Her hair wasn't blue, though. And this is much prettier. I like the blue-white sunburst, too. Or is that a thistle?
ReplyDeleteThe Botanical Garden is a Phoenix treasure!
That is incredible! I love that the shapes also set off and contrast one another...
ReplyDeleteAnd the pale sky doesn't take away from the blue of the sculptures. I like that.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good exercise place! That blue looks good against the cloudy sky.
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful, Sharon, and they contrast well off each other.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great angle and love the blue color.
ReplyDeleteI really love that starburst, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteHow I envy your trips to this Garden! What a great job you did, setting up the shot.
ReplyDeleteThis makes for a wonderful contrast. The curlycues on the left and the spikes on the right. The left sculpture seems like an upside down chandelier.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, indeed.
ReplyDeleteI'm always intrigued by the tangledness of Chihuly's glass, and these are perfect in this setting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteYour Chihuly images just keep getting more and more incredible Sharon.. how I would love to take a walk through the botanical garden with you.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. As are your photos!
ReplyDeleteLovely contrast and colors, nice art work and photo.
