Hanging on
I believe this is a grape leaf although I can't be sure. It was really a deep wine-red color but the sun was shining through it and made it glow this brilliant fire-engine red.
Looks like a grape plant. When we lived in Scottsdale (not much to Scottsdale in those days) there was a vineyard near Camelback Rd I think ... but we could pick our own grapes for 5 cents a pound or have them bagged for 10 cents a pound. They were sooooo good!
Mother Nature is a fantastic artist.
ReplyDeleteHaha - who cares what kind of leaf it is when it's so RED?!?!?! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see some colour hanging on!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a pretty red leaf. Nicely shot though.
ReplyDeleteAny thing left on our trees has been pummeled off by the rain we have had
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful shade and lovely form. Vies with Chihuly's shapes!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image Sharon, wonderful bokeh..
ReplyDeleteA little treasure, overlooked by many, I would guess. Nice!
ReplyDeleteJudy is right...
ReplyDeleteThis leaf is still celebrating the Holiday.
ReplyDeleteThis a beautiful red! Only in nature!
Desperate cry for help... or at least your camera?

ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see something colourful - our world is so grey at this time of year, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine a redder red than this. Wonderful, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you still have leaves.
