I mentioned yesterday that the Webster Auditorium at the Desert Botanical Garden had been turned into a shop for Chihuly souvenirs. In addition to the books, videos, T-shirts, and caps, there were also some exquisite collectors pieces for sale.
I would have been tempted to purchase one of these beauties……
…..if the prices weren't in excess of $7,000.00!
Wow. And there's me thinking photography was an art to master. These are stunning.
ReplyDeleteThose individual pieces are really stunning, and you photographed them beautifully. I'd be afraid to get too close!
ReplyDeleteThey are quite expensive, but so beautiful,
ReplyDeleteBeautifully displayed and captured!
ReplyDeleteOh me too Sharon... if I had a spare 7,000 :))
ReplyDeleteThere is no question as to their desirability or beauty, but I can think of a number of other things I'd rather do with 7 grand! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you were going to say you bought a couple of them!
I think the picture is going to have to suffice and just think, the picture doesn't need dusting.
ReplyDeleteThese are my favourite type of his designs!
ReplyDeleteOnly $7,000! Send me a dozen!
ReplyDeleteHow can you just choose one.
ReplyDeleteI went to the Naples Philharmonic tonight, and the shop at the Phil had three Chihuly glass works for sale, at about $5500 each.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice display. Like it.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
I'm not a bit surprised!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pieces but the price is not very inviting... :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous!
