We had an excessive heat warning yesterday with the temperature soaring to 112 degrees (44c). Whenever that happens you can count on some monsoon clouds to start building up in the late afternoon. This refreshing fountain in northern Phoenix at least looks cool!
44ºC!!! The record in Portugal was 47,4ºC in 2003, fortunatelly not in Lisbon. It was the worst summer and consequent draught I can remember, it seemd the whole country was on fire (it didn't rain on the previous winter and spring).
ReplyDeleteBy the way, don't miss "Women Are Heroes", I'm sure you will love it. Hope you can find the movie there.
I love hot weather, but I'm not sure about this one! Whew! Probably too hot for me to handle. Love those palm trees.
ReplyDeleteI remember 112!
ReplyDeleteGot to say, you have a wonderful photographic sense. This is another terrific composition - a delight to the senses, especially the eyes!
Looks a bit like mine today: clouds.
ReplyDeleteOh wow Sharon, I have to say I'm not looking forward to 44 this summer.. Super shot of the fountain, water, even the sound of it, helps a lot :)
ReplyDeleteWe had the clouds all day but no rain fell. I'm surprised no one was dangling their feet in the fountain.
ReplyDeleteI've never experienced heat like that and I don't think I would handle it well.
ReplyDelete112 degrees! Wow. But, you usually get dry heat, don't you? That would be more bearable than the kind of humid heat we get in both CT and FL. Still . . .
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful with the palm trees.
ReplyDeleteVery refreshing looking, and the skyline is amazing!
