Two more from Butterfly Wonderland

This butterfly is called Paper Kite.  It's one that I actually found in the guide they provided.
It's quite pretty, isn't it?

This one isn't actually a butterfly at all.  It's a moth and it's called an Atlas Moth.  I had to find this one by searching the internet and it took a while to find.  It's hard to tell in a photo but, this moth is very large.  It's actually bigger than my hand with all my fingers spread.

  1. The Paper Kite is indeed very pretty but the moth is amazing. It's structure is so different and who would think it was so big?

  2. If you did not have a Daily Photo site, would you be searching the internet for moth names? I doubt it.

  5. We used to have huge black moths that clung to the underside of a roof over a deck on a house we lived in in Mexico. I first thought they were bats!

  7. Sharon your butterfly images are fabulous, and the moth is like no moth I've ever seen, that's a huge size, not sure if I'd like that one landing on my foot :)
