The Golf Club
I took a drive north yesterday in a random search for something to photograph and I ended up at the northern most edge of Scottsdale where I found a place called simply The Golf Club. I followed the drive and while studying the glimpses of golf course creeping up the side of a mountain I found myself at an attractive entrance. I decided to get out of the car and have a look. The place was completely built in a very rustic southwestern style that was at once appealing and welcoming. My fear that I had stumbled onto a private club melted away and I wandered around freely admiring the architecture at every turn.
I'll show you a couple more photos from here tomorrow. It was truly a beautiful place.
It was around 11:00 AM when I arrived here and it hadn't yet hit our high for today at 112 degrees (44c). That is crazy hot for this time of year!
Absolutely glorious! And you did exceptionally well to get the photos in that scorching heat too, well done!
ReplyDeleteGosh you've caught a wee bit of everything here Sharon, reflections, shadows, colour and my favourite, that lovely little archway. 44C OMG that's just horrible! I do believe you get hotter than we do, we do sometimes go over the 40C in summer but not that often. Keep cool :)
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and the well worn window frame and shutters. I'm glad you are not afraid to go exploring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI just can't imagine 112 degrees. My pores would pour.
It does not look 112 degrees in your photos.
ReplyDeleteGolf courses are attractive when done right. Stay cool today. I heard it going to be sweltering once more. Here? Cool rain 70.
ReplyDeletewhat a perfect adventure this turned out to be.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though you followed the road less traveled and ended up in a very pleasant spot! This looks much more comfy and inviting than some fancy modern country club!
ReplyDelete112 is too hot anytime of year! :)
I like this rustic look. Good for you, out prowling around in the heat.
ReplyDeleteSo much atmosphere! No wonder you usually are out and about so early in the day - 44˚C!!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the Southwest!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful colour combination! 44ÂșC?! WOW! On the other hand we're having the worst pre-summer I can remember. I'm not even tanned yet!
