They look like giant pearls floating on the canal at the Scottsdale Waterfront but, they are part of an art installation on the water. It seems there is always some kind of interesting art floating in the water or surrounding the walkway.
In this shot there seems to be a string of pearls.
When we first saw them we thought that perhaps they were lit up at night, but they are not. They seem to catch the light.
ReplyDeleteSimple and beautiful as they are floating.
ReplyDeleteLove the way they reflect on the water Sharon.
ReplyDeleteThat is an unusual display. They look iridescent.
ReplyDeleteAre they a Chilhuly creation? These pearls are so beautiful! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that some people haven't complained about birds getting tangled in all the strings! That would be the big debate here!
ReplyDeleteInteresting and unusual art installation.
ReplyDeleteI like these very much and again I have to say you camera work is excellent...you caught all the nuances of light and color...not easy in such an environment!
ReplyDeleteNice installation.
ReplyDeleteThe colours compliment the clear blue of the water and vice versa!
ReplyDeleteAs Mary Helen says it reminds me too of Chihuly's shapes like his mushrooms floating on water.
ReplyDeleteIt opens up a lot of suggestions.
So cool. Love the top shot!
