On Guard Duty

While I was in Tucson, I visited my favorite part of town, the historical barrio area.  While I was photographing some of the colorful old homes there, my moves were being carefully followed by this attentive and watchful dog.

Every now and then he would let go a low little warning bark.  You know the kind that just sort of erupts through the cheeks making them puff out with each escape.  I thought he deserved his own portrait.

  1. Love the way his ears are cocked here Sharon. I don't think you've shown such deep blue wall before, it's fabulous.

  4. He (she?) is doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing. I hate the ones who yap, yap, yap.

  7. Love both of these shots. He looks very intelligent and I'd guess he wants to make sure you understand that he will put up with no nonsense from anyone, even paparazzi!
