The glow of the evening sun was lighting up the Phoenix Financial Center building a few nights ago so I stopped to see if I could capture it. This building is curved in a "C" shape so it's not always easy to capture especially from this side with the stripes created by those brassy beams.
I posted photos of this building way back in 2008. You can see those photos
here and
here.
Great building and great compositions. Well done.
ReplyDeletePreciosas imágenes. Un beso desde Murcia.
ReplyDeleteThe sun certainly gave the building a high gloss and shine. The curve shows up very well in your photo.
ReplyDeleteWonderful perspective to show the building.
ReplyDeleteThis is tricky because the side of the building that you photographed faces north, and it would not get the direct rays of the setting sun except for this time of year, when the sun sets north of due west.
ReplyDeleteI remember being so fascinated by this building when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteYou've caught it beautifully Sharon, the glow of the sun certainly enhances the look of the building.
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual building. You did a wonderful job of catching that glow.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shot. You're photos have taken on a real artistic look! They're wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYup, I lived about three blocks east of this building, which I always thought of as the IBM card building because of the windows on the other side.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like the sun low in the sky to make a picture pop. I like this one a lot. Great composition.
ReplyDeleteI would say also golden sunset.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you captured this!
ReplyDeleteThis building looks great when the light hits it.
ReplyDeleteLike Bruce, I'm of the genre that we called this one the IBM Card building. Great shot of the wonders that sunlight can perform!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fine image though it does peculiar things to my eyes when I scroll up and down the page!
