More Traditional

Just one block away from the colorful condos I posted yesterday is this much more traditional house.  I like this one a lot.

  1. Me too! In fact, I think I know this house. It may have had a new paint job since I last saw it.

  5. In the days before air conditioning, people probably slept on the porch.

  7. This is traditional midwestern. Reminds me of my grandparent's house in a small town in Kansas. Love that porch...that's probably more Arizonian! It's a gorgeous home!

  13. OK, if I ever move to Phoenix, this is the one I want. I love natural shingles and I love big porches.

Tiny Dancer was in my aging mind but I didn't pull it out right. Thx for the reminder. I changed the caption!

  14. This is definitely to my liking. This looks like a lovely house to raise a family in and then spend your twilight years in.

  16. This has kind of a "Craftsman" bungalow" look to it... we have many similar to this style around the Milwaukee area built in the early part of the 20th century. I like the cedar shake siding on the upper part around the windows, and the midwestern grass lawn!
