California Dreamin'
I just returned from a fabulous long weekend in California so I thought I'd sneak in one shot of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. This is one of many amazing views from a park in Laguna Beach. Ahhhh....it was a great break from the desert heat.
This is so beautiful and I've got to tell you that when we lived in Phoenix we'd drive over to San Diego and I believe to Laguna Beach. That was in the early 60s, but what a wonderful relief from the heat!
Funny how we all think of that song as a summer song when it begins "All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey..." But that's certainly a very summery photo!
It looks so beautiful. I remember our first trip to California after living in Phoenix for a year. We were amazed at how green it was, with ivy growing up the cement pillars under highway bridges.
All good Zonies go to California in August!
ReplyDeleteArizona is made more livable by the fact that the cool ocean breezes of Southern California are only a 6 hour drive or one hour flight away.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like Heisler Park in Laguna Beach, a delightful spot.
So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh how super beautiful! Sniff. I miss it. And...my post today has the same title as yours! Haha.
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell the ocean breeze!
