Arizona Road Trip: Bisbee
Bisbee is another town that has a mining history only this time, the mine is still in operation and producing copper. The streets of Bisbee snake up and down the hills of the city. These photos were taken in the central business area after all the shops had closed up for the day.
Great photos of dusk in Bisbee, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteOh this looks like an interesting town.
ReplyDeleteI really like the lighting and the sheen on the street and sidewalk.
ReplyDeleteThere is something special about a town that is this quiet and peaceful at dusk.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a ghost town!
ReplyDeleteI've just been going through your Arizona Road Trip series Sharon, what fantastic shots! The colour along the way has been unbelievable. have you completely changed the look of your blog or am I going nuts!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos, Sharon. The main street seems mysterious in the evening.
ReplyDeleteI love Bisbee. It's always beautiful at this time of evening.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been this far southeast in AZ, YET!
ReplyDeleteI would think it best to go in the cooler months.
Love these night shots...has that old west feel! Sorry I been so quiet these last couple weeks, I’ve been really ill (now finally diagnosed with Whooping Cough even though I was immunized) and have had another very rough week.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to visit this town. Great night shots.
ReplyDeleteThese night shots absolutely emit the feeling of the town. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and do I see wet pavement? I'm playing catchup and may have missed something, but rain! Yippee.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! For those of you who commented that you'd like to go, Bisbee is a mile-high city, so it's cooler than Phoenix and Tucson. It gets warm, but cools off nicely at night because it is in the mountains. Check out DiscoverBisbee.com or ExploreCochise.com for more details on traveling to southeast AZ. I do PR for the Cochise County Tourism Council, so I know the area well. Thanks!
