I was driving past this neighborhood hamburger restaurant and noticed the pleasing neon lights in their front window and decided to stop and take a shot. When I was working from home about 3 years ago, I used stop in here for lunch once or twice a month. It's the kind of place where you can build your hamburger just the way you want it and they were always good! It's nice to have good places to eat so close to home. That is one of the many things I love about living in central Phoenix.

ReplyDeleteOriginal Hamburger Works is just south of McDowell Road and it was a particularly popular spot to stop before basketball games when the Phoenix Suns played their games at the Colleseum just down the road on McDowell.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I drove by this place last Sunday and were reminded that we first went there I believe sometime in the 1980s. Not the best burger I ever had but one that I went back for occasionally. I was glad to see it was still around.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that the place has been around for some time. Obviously it has a loyal following. Brightly lit and inviting; I'd go there.
