Strange but true
A week ago, I found this house not far from where I live and had to turn around and go back for another look. Well, I guess the good news is that they don't have to worry about trimming these "palm trees".
That is so fun and funky! I suppose they have a rock yard, too.
And trimming palm trees is no joke. At our Ocala house we had three by the pool which had to be trimmed several times a year and it cost $100 per tree each time!
I think that I would turn around, too. It certainly is different...artists live there perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWhat a conglommeration.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure their immediate neighbors are absolutely thrilled!
ReplyDeleteOver the top!
ReplyDeleteHaha! love this Sharon, I think Kate has to be right, an artist in residence here for sure!!
ReplyDeleteIs this one on 7th street? There was always an artist who lived there and he always had interesting art in his front yard.
ReplyDeleteThey remind me somewhat of the 1953 movie War Of The Worlds!
ReplyDeleteObviously this neighborhood does not have a homeowners association with an architectural control committee.
ReplyDeleteStrange but wonderful!
ReplyDeletewell there is a story here
ReplyDeleteNot too different than pink flamingos.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, very unusual.
ReplyDeleteI've learned from one of my readers that the person living in this house makes these Palm Trees and sells them to various outlets.

Fun and unusual yard art.
ReplyDeleteI guess lawn art? Interesting way to landscape your yard!
ReplyDeleteQuite unique! I wonder what they are made of, plastic, fabric?
ReplyDeleteGlad you found some information out about them. I would probably have stopped traffic...you at least were kind enough to turn around and go back. :)
ReplyDeleteI used to trim a palm tree we had in our yard. A messy, dirty and fearful job after I learned scorpions like to live in them.
ReplyDeleteMy mother taught me that if I can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
ReplyDeleteStrange and funny at the same time. Great find.
ReplyDeleteThose are really neat. They also look like jellyfish. It would be even better if they had lights!
