Here is another shot from the Tempe Festival of the Arts last Saturday. This one is looking over the tops of some of the artist's tents toward the new W6 Residential Towers. You can see what a menacing sky we had and it lasted all day with spots of rain and hail here and there. I even heard a loud thunder clap later in the evening.
Unusual skies for Phoenix.
ReplyDeletelove the drama of this, sharon.
ReplyDeleteBrooding & moody, great sky.
ReplyDeleteThis has been exceptionally cold weather for Phoenix. Julie and I covered up some of our plants last evening for frost protection.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely threatening skies... good shot!
ReplyDeletesuch cold dreary weather we have had. hopefully the sun comes back out today for the rest of December. the rain has been good for plants though
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising to read about bad weather in Phoenix. Shooting this in monochrome was a good idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo of the stormy sky.
ReplyDeleteGrey is the right word for this one. Very unusual for Phoenix.
ReplyDeleteI miss the art festival this year I'm really bummed I wanted to to go but it was kind of chilly. maybe next year.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice shot.
That is the same grey we are having here!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic photo. Didn't you just love it though?
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun to see here in Arizona.
ReplyDeleteLoved the gray skys and rain we had! Where in Italy are you going next May? How fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, great shot!!!
ReplyDeleteFrightening clouds. It's amazing you weren't inundated! Excellent shot!
ReplyDeleteOh, that doesn't look like the Tempe arts fairs I remember.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy I decided not to come down.
ReplyDeleteLove the little touches of colour from the ceramics in this otherwise monochrome image Sharon, beautifully composed.
