Dramatic Skies

I was with a group of friends on Sunday attending a reunion at a good friend's house in Queen Creek Arizona (about 30 miles south east of Phoenix).  Our friend's house sits on a mountain side with a wide view of the cities below in all directions.  It was a cold and dreary day with layer after layer of dark clouds scooting by all day long.  On the way home we were treated to some spectacular cloud formations set aflame by the setting sun.  We stopped several times to jump out of the car to get some shots before they were all gone.

A big Happy Birthday to my sister Pam in Missouri.  Have a great day!

  8. It was a delightful gathering, and the ride back was accented by nice views of the sunset. i enjoyed Julie stopping the car while driving for you to get a photo, as there have been so many times that I have been driving and (always gladly) stop the car for Julie to get out and take a photo.

  12. I took the garbage cans out late yesterday afternoon and had to get the camera and take some shots from my driveway. Good clouds around Mingus with color from the setting sun.

  13. I like the way the mountains are silhouetted in the sky! It's funny, but you really need some clouds to get the best sunsets! Like this!
