Sweet Ride

When I was in high school a Corvette was my dream car so, when I saw this one in a parking lot, I had to stop and get a picture.

  1. This one looks like an oldie. I think they're the best.

  2. The prominence of the headlights on this Corvette was later replaced by the headlights that flipped around and disappeared, leaving very clean lines in the front of the Corvette. I remember being amazed by that feature a few years later than the model you have shown today.

Sharon, since you lived in St. Louis for a year or so, you perhaps might know that Corvettes were built in the old Chevy plant on the north side of St Louis.

  4. It is nice. I also loved the Astin Martin that Prince William drove away in yesterday!

  5. The much older boy that lived across the street from my parents house had one of these Corvettes. I had a crush on the boy, but think the reason was the car.

  9. That's got to be early 1960s or late 50s...they were, indeed, the cat's meow! Beautiful shot, Sharon!
