I discovered that if you set your little point and shoot camera on a stainless steel counter and point it into a stainless steel kitchen full of smoke and steam, you get all kinds of tricky reflections and foggy illusions.
This is the kitchen for the new Hillstone restaurant in Phoenix. It replaces the old Houston’s restaurant. Same restaurant, different name and new location.
And it doesn't even show any of the fingerprints!
ReplyDeleteWhere is the new location? I presume my daughter knows this info as Houston's was one of her favorite places.
Amazing what you get just 'playing around'. Ha!
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder how the chef's feel about this reflective environment. Probably the camera picked up reflections that they don't even notice.
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective in the photo! You've set the bar high for the April "city daily photo" these..... EDGES.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a cool experiment. I didn't know Houston's was no more.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who keeps it all polished?
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Sharon. I think even the health department would be satisfied.
ReplyDeleteI love all the reflections of the lights.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun shot! I like nice surprises when I download. Sometimes I get not so nice surprises and I have to click delete.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful discovery!
ReplyDeleteNice photo, Sharon. I just read a review of the new Hillstones and would like to visit on our next trip down the hill.
ReplyDeleteStainless kitchens are always easy to clean, hygienic and easy to find if it is dirty. We are so used to it in an industrial kitchen.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! How nice that they let you do this and it turned out with such fun effects.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot - super reflections!
ReplyDeleteShining! Great shot indeed.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. Stainless steel is good, I guess, and most people seem to want stainless appliances and we have them but I don't know why - they are very hard to keep clean and looking good.
ReplyDeleteAch, what do I know? Nada!
its a mix of traditional and modern designs, you really had something new each time I visit your blog.. this is awesome..
ReplyDeleteHey that works wonders, I'll have to try!
